A drug dealer jailed

A drug dealer who posted photos of himself surrounded by piles of cash has been jailed along with two other members of his crime ring.
Olsi Beheluli was arrested after officers seized heroin and cocaine with a street value of more than £4 million from his associates Besim Topalli, 29 and Azem Proshka, 23.
Officers found a picture of the 24-year-old, surrounded by piles of cash, estimated to be about £250,000.
Beheluli also posted pictures of himself on Twitter with piles of cash in front of him and another post says "I love my job" with lots of dollar signs after it.
They were posted a month before he was arrested by the National Crime Agency operation in October last year.
Beheluli, who describes himself as an actor/model on Twitter, initially claimed the money wasn’t his, and the photo had been taken at a relative’s house in Albania.
But by matching the distinctive wallpaper and furniture in the picture to photos on a property marketing website NCA investigators were able to prove that it was a flat previously rented by Beheluli in Harrow, north-west London.

Officers also found betting slips showing he had recently placed stakes worth £12,000 at Ladbrokes and William Hill bookmakers.

His student bank account contained £24,000, which Beheluli claimed was winnings from gambling on the World Cup.

Powdered caffeine and paracetemol - to be used as cutting agents - and bundles of pound and euro notes to a value of around £100,000 were also seized as part of the operation.

At the trio’s ‘stash house’ in Harp Island Close, Neasden, investigators found counterfeit identity documents, small amounts of cash and drugs, plus scales and other equipment associated with drug dealing.

Following a trial at Blackfriars Crown Court, Beheluli was found guilty of conspiring to supply class A drugs.

He was sentenced to 11 years in prison yesterday, while Albanian nationals Proshka and Topalli were sentenced to 10 years each.

Both had earlier admitted conspiring to supply drugs, money laundering and possessing false ID documents.

They will face deportation at the end of their sentences.

National Crime Agency branch commander Oliver Higgins said: “Beheluli seemed to enjoy the high life and gambling with the money he made from drug dealing, but in the end his luck run out.

“These men were involved in supplying significant quantities of high-purity class A drugs, as demonstrated by the value of the cash, cocaine and heroin we have seized from them.

“But they were unaware that they were being watched by the NCA, and their arrest and subsequent conviction should have the wider criminal fraternity looking over their shoulders.

“My message to them would be that we are determined to find you, bring you justice and deprive you of any criminal profits.”
