Radamel Falcao’s agent: I wish Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge, not Louis van Gaal

Jorge Mendes, the controversial agent for on-loan Manchester United forward Radamel Falcao, has stated that his client would have been better off playing under legendary Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, rather than current United boss Louis van Gaal.
Mendes’s criticism of United’s first-year Dutch manager seems to stem from a lack of a regular first-team starter’s role. Falcao, who’s 28 and makes a reported $420,000 per week, is barely a full year removed from suffering a torn ACL, which cost him a place at the 2014 World Cup.
Speaking to French television station La Sexta, Mendes had the following to say:
“I would have liked it if Falcao was with Sir Alex Ferguson. He is a player who needs to play 90 minutes and I don’t understand [why he isn’t].”
Mendes went on to confirm he and his client’s eyes have already begun to wander, searching for the Colombian’s next club — and presumed massive payday:
“Falcao will play for one of the seven best [teams] in the world next, but Real Madrid have Benzema. He is staying at Real Madrid. Last season the president could have sold him and he didn’t”.
The old saying goes: “Form is temporary, but class is permanent,” right? While Falcao is clearly a talented footballer who’s full of talent (class), it’s not 2012 anymore, which means he’s nowhere near the best striker in the world, as he arguably was during his time at Atletico Madrid (70 goals in 91 appearances).
That’s the type of player who has his pick of “the world’s seven best teams,” not one who’s scored just three goals upon struggling to break into the first team.
