Jorge Mendes, the controversial agent for on-loan Manchester United forward Radamel Falcao, has stated that his client would have been better off playing under legendary Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, rather than current United boss Louis van Gaal.
Mendes’s criticism of United’s first-year Dutch manager seems to stem
from a lack of a regular first-team starter’s role. Falcao, who’s 28
and makes a reported $420,000 per week, is barely a full year removed from suffering a torn ACL, which cost him a place at the 2014 World Cup.
Speaking to French television station La Sexta, Mendes had the following to say:

While Falcao is clearly a talented footballer who’s full of talent (class), it’s not 2012 anymore, which means he’s nowhere near the best striker in the world, as he arguably was during his time at Atletico Madrid (70 goals in 91 appearances).
