Bandai Namco Games has revealed how Amiibo will be integrated with the upcoming Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus, to be released February 13 on Nintendo 3DS.
Players will be able to tap their Amiibo onto the New Nintendo 3DS XL
to unlock exclusive aircraft skins that are tied to each Amiibo
character.
In addition to unlocking skins, the Amiibo character will also set the parameter settings for the aircraft. For example, the Mario Amiibo will be tied to the F-22, an aircraft with well-balanced air and ground attacks. Confirmed characters who can be used in the game include Mario, Bowser, Captain Falcon, Pacman, and Samus.
Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy Plus is a re-release of 2011's Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy which adds facial camera tracking and utilizes the New 3DS's buttons. Debating whether to upgrade to a New Nintendo 3DS XL?
