Jose Mourinho Accuses FIFA of Rigging Votes Against Him in 2012 after missing out the world coach of the year.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has suggested that FIFA rigged the 2012 World Coach of the Year Award so that his votes went to other candidates.

The award was given to Vicente del Bosque.

This is not the first time that the Portuguese manager has accused FIFA of binning the votes awarded to him back in 2012 and rigging the result, a year in which he triumphed with a fantastic Real Madrid team that racked up 100 points and scored 121 goals.

Mourinho had a fine season with Real Madrid and believes his efforts should have earned him the accolade.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, Mourinho repeated his accusations: "In 2012, I was one of the three finalists [in the voting for FIFA World Coach of the Year] and when I was told I was finishing second with a few votes behind the first, it looked normal to me. But then the votes were made public.

And my former player, a national team captain, called me, 'Mister, there is something wrong. Because obviously, obviously, I gave you the vote, then in the list they put another coach's name and that was not me' ".
