Centenarian George Kirby and Doreen Luckie have been together for 27 years but they finally made plans to get wedded. The couple got married in Eastbourne, England Saturday with close family and friends in attendance. Despite their years, the two still had the "newlywed glow" and looked very much in love as they kissed on the steps outside the venue.
The bride wore a white dress with blue flowers while the groom, a former boxer, was dressed smartly in a suit and tie, and was in a wheelchair following a recent fall.
"It's a bit of a surprise really, after all this time, getting married again," Luckie said. She was married previously but started dating Kirby after becoming a widow. The two have seven children, 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren between them.
With a combined age of 194 years, the pair beat the previous record held by a French couple, Francois Fernandez and Madeleine Francineau, who had a combined age of 191 years.

They got engaged on Valentine's Day this year, according to the Daily Mail.
If it's certified by Guinness World Records, the couple's combined age of 194 years will top the current holders of the record for oldest couple to marry (aggregate age): Francois Fernandez and Madeleine Francineau, who married at Le Foyer du Romarin rest home in Clapiers, France, on February 1, 2002.
A spokesperson for Guinness World Records told The Huffington Post that they are waiting for evidence from the couple before they make the record official.
