Liverpool fans and players agree: Philippe Coutinho was the Reds’ outstanding performer in 2014-15.
Coutinho won Liverpool’s Fans’ and Players’ Player of the Year Awards at the 2015 Players’ Awards ceremony at the Echo Arena on Tuesday, according to the club website.
Coutinho claimed the major honors in recognition for a fine season in which he scored eight goals and assisted on six more in 51 games.

Coutinho, like many of his team-mates, struggled to influence games in the first-half of the campaign, but has been very impressive in recent months.
The playmaker has completed 105 take-ons in the league, more than any other Liverpool player, and has also scored five goals and registered five assists.

The 22-year-old’s displays have also been recognised with nominations for the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year awards, and he was the only member of Brendan Rodgers’ squad to be voted in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year by his fellow professionals.
He should continue to get better as he gains more experience, with Liverpool tying him down to a new five-year deal back in February, highlighting his importance to their future plans.
Coutinho has created 54 chances in the league this season
Coutinho has been included in Brazil’s squad for this summer’s Copa America, and the Selecao will be especially keen to win the tournament after their disappointment in the World Cup on home soil.
Liverpool have been unable to replicate their form from last year this term, as they currently sit fifth in the table. They face Stoke in the final game of the season, and could drop down to seventh if they lose and other results go against them.
